Chapel and Shrine in the Limestone Quarries

Entrance to rock-cut chapel (left) in quarry area located approximately 450 m north of entrance to the Batn al-Baqara. Smaller entrance (right) leads into a side room. Windows cut above entrance are associated with a room above chapel, which the team was unable to investigate in the 2014 season.

Inscribed ankh cross next to apse (southern side). 

Side room, looking south from chapel. Window was cut into western wall near the southwestern corner of room.

Small decorated shrine flanked by two ankh crosses. Located just north of the chapel.
